On and off

It's strange to think that all this starts out as a simple yes or no: zero or one. I am talkin about the basics of computing - basics since the first digital computer. Yet here I am writing English in a form that can be read by anyone anywhere in the world at any time - and I can read their writings. I can use this space to transcend barriers and take in the influences of peoples and cultures from this new, connected, society. This revolution is influencing the paradigms, in me and others, that have been programmed into our personal computers (brains) by our upbringing. Will the end result be a shared understanding or increased conflict? I don't know but I do know that it can be empowering to the individual and I believe that is generally good.
